VOLUNTEER

PLEASE HELP US HELP OTHERS!

To supplement ECFA’s licensed professional staff, numerous volunteers contribute both time and money to support our work in many ways. Volunteer assistance is needed in numerous areas.

Bulk Mailing Volunteer

Our Bulk Mailing is one of the main ways ECFA is able to continue to share the great things God has been doing with our community. Our Bulk Mail Campaign volunteers help us by putting together newsletter packets and invitations to events to our donors and bulk mailing lists. If interested, you will be put on our email list for Bulk Mailings that you may be notified when a mailing is coming up and volunteers are needed. This position is a great option for those with busy schedules, or families.

Baby Supply Drive Host

Would you, your family, organization, or church consider hosting a collection for essential baby supplies? Throughout the year, we partner with members of our community to gather much-needed items such as diapers, wipes, bottles, and other infant essentials. We’d love to work with you to organize a baby drive—reach out to get started!

Special Events and Projects

Our Special Events Volunteers play an important role in supporting our events from start to finish. Responsibilities may include event setup, event support, and teardown, along with other tasks as needed. We especially welcome volunteers interested in helping with special events or building projects with experience or skills in the following areas: Audio/visual support Public speaking Ability to lift 40+ pounds Building Maintenance Yard Care Plumbing If you have additional skills or areas of expertise you’d like to contribute, we’d love to hear from you. Please let us know how you’d like to get involved!

Peer Mentor

Navigating life as a single mother can be challenging—especially after completing our program, when ongoing support may feel limited. To help bridge that gap, we offer a Peer Mentor Program for mothers. We are seeking mothers who are willing to walk alongside and support new mothers as they begin this next chapter of their journey. We also welcome mothers who have experienced the challenges of placing a child for adoption. Your perspective can provide meaningful connection, understanding, and a safe space for others to process their emotions and know they are not alone. If you’re interested in becoming a peer mentor or learning more, we would love to connect with you.

Temporary Foster Care Home

Life’s stressors can feel overwhelming for new mothers and for women who are exploring their options, including adoption. The transition after the birth of a child can be especially challenging. To provide support, respite, and practical resources, we offer Temporary Foster Care—also known as our “Baby Care Home” program—for women participating in our Pregnancy Support Services. We are currently seeking families in the Greater Milwaukee Area who are not looking to adopt, but are open to caring for infants on a short-term, periodic basis. All volunteer homes must complete a home study through our Adoption Program; please visit our Adoption Program Criteria page for more information. If you’re interested in learning more about becoming a Temporary Foster Care provider, we would love to connect with you.
