Dear Birth Parent,

You are a lot stronger than you give yourself credit for. For you Birth-Mom: it is honorable to think about you carrying a child all those months — giving them the gift of life and looking after their health and not just your own. For you Birth-Parents: to make the decision to give your child to another…that all takes strength and maturity that is worth admiration.

Maybe you're just trying to make the best of a hard situation. Or maybe you just want to give yourself — and your baby — the best chance at a life well-lived. But whatever your reasons for coming to this decision, you are doing a wonderful honorable thing. You're facing up to tough facts, you're rising above your difficulties, and you're giving another opportunity to a couple to become parents when they could not on their own. That makes you instantly in forever a birth parent that we are proud to know, to speak highly of, to cherish, and to thank for every day if we are blessed to love and nurture the little one you brought into the world. God smiles at you for that, and loves you more than you could ever know.
