Kirk and Deb
Dear Birthparents,
We have already been praying for you. Months ago, we decided to pray for anyone who might view this profile. We don't know you or your circumstances, but God does, and He cares deeply for you. Please be comforted by this.
We have been married a little more than three years. Kirk is a civil engineer who likes home design and remodeling. Deb is an elementary school teacher who loves coaching and directing children's plays. We both work in AWANA, which is a children's ministry in our church.
Because of our love for children and a desire to start our own family, we wanted to have children as soon as possible. Not able to have our own, we look forward to providing a home for the child(ren) that God gives us through adoption. When this happens, we will be excited to have the opportunity to pour ourselves into raising each child and offering a stable home of love and joy for each one.
We live in the rural north woods of Wisconsin. We both have fond childhood memories of growing up in the country and hope to bring this same sense of enjoyment and fun to children in our home. We love to fish, hike, picnic, and take a family vacation every summer. Some places we have enjoyed have been the Black Hills of South Dakota, Yellowstone National Park, the Redwoods Forest in California, and many parks and tourist areas here in Wisconsin. We look forward to making fun memories with our children in the years to come. We have included a badminton/volleyball net in our front yard and enjoy making the back yard a small baseball field when children with families come to visit. Someday, we hope to share these and other fun activities with our children.
Living in the country has given us the opportunity
to own three pets, a small yellow lab dog named Shiloh,
a black and white cat named Coke, and her striped kitten
we call Dew (short for Mt. Dew). In the future, we
hope to start a little farmette with chickens, goats,
and maybe a pig or two. Children seem to be naturally
attracted to animals, and we hope to give them this
experience of helping us raise animals and learn more
about God's creation.
